Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have pre existing insulation in my attic, but I want to spray foam?

We would start by removing all insulation that was previously installed. The reason for this is because once the attic roof line is sprayed it seals everything. If there is any moisture or humidity from temperature change it will make the fiberglass mildew. The advantage that you now have of spray foaming your attic is that it now becomes a conditioned space. So you want as much air flow as possible.

We hear this question a lot,  It really depends on what type of spray foam you end up going with. If you have a roof that is not completely sealed from roof leaks then we highly recommend using Open Cell on your roof line. Open Cell allows you to find the leak because its cells are open and allows for moisture to come through. Closed Cell is the opposite, you will not find the leak because Closed Cell does not allow any moisture to come through. If you have a roof that is leak proof, and the budget we highly recommend using Closed Cell.

If I have a roof leak, will I be able to find it?

Although spray foam has not been around that long it has become the most dependable insulation invented. Spray foam can last 80 to 100 years. It is a 1 time installation that can pay for itself in 6 years because of how energy efficient it is.

How long does spray foam last?
